Anime Galore~

I decided to just group up and make small comments on a group of anime I just finished. Since I wont really say much about each and every one of them I'll just quickly give a few of my thoughts and then some.

Psycho Pass is the first on my list. I never give anything a perfect grade because there is never anything perfect out there. BUT this one is really a series that to me feels like it defines action at its core. This series grades highly for me at around an A mainly because in light of all the "moe" boom in recent years as well as all the current censorship going on, this series really goes out there with the gore and dark story that has been missing. Not to mention the fact that it doesn't come as a surprise and rather fits right into the series itself, this was one of the few where I just couldn't keep away from. I like the art and the plot which although at times is obvious, seems to stay interesting mainly through all the characters involved as they struggle with themselves as well as the sibyl system.

Then we have Kotoura-San I would have graded this show higher had it kept its tear jerking moments continuous, but the series itself cooled down considerably half way through. YES I baww'd like you don't even know. The feels man right at episode 1 really got me. Don't get me wrong though, it's not like the series is bad, it just didn't keep the flow I had wanted and made it seem so lackluster near the end. B- is what I would give it.

Next on the list is Tamako Market and I'd like to say despite its easygoing slice of life plot and random bird creature, it still came out as a solid series. The characters were interesting enough that I enjoyed watching it through the end. Of course not much goes on in the series and it is at its highest merely a slice of life with weird occurences. No harm done in watching or skipping although if you are a true fan of lol "moe" then it'd be a nice series. This one gets a B- as well.

GJ-Bu is the next series. It is similar to shows like Seitokai no Ichizon and Seitokai Yakuindomo except as  a club. I don't think I have to say much if you've watched those series', but the show is very interesting and was one of my must watch for the season. The only disappointing thing is of course that lackluster of an ending and episode before it where my expectations were just filled with disappoint. Like Mondaiji it felt like the series cut stuff off near the end. Regardless it was still a good series and I'll give it a B+.

Girls Und Panzer the next on the list of shows ending is slightly saddening to me. It is a sense catered to simply cute characters in tank battles. Normally I'd praise these types of shows merely because lolis in tanks, but not today. The whole few months break didn't help it and of course all the random characters didn't help it. The tank  battles seemed too straightforward and I think some more action or a lot more suspense could have helped the series. if only they were like the girls in Saki with dat mahjong hax and overly underdressed characters and moeblobs  with a side of obvious shoujo ai. Series gets a C.

Finally the last one is Zetsuen no Tempest. This scores very high to me as well. An A is what I would give it but it would have been an A+ had it not been for the random dragging out in some scenes. I think though overall this show had one of the more interesting plots in the last year. The tie-in's with the different plays by English writers was very intriguing. The entire show had this whole mysterious vibe going around it and it felt as if I was watching some Shakespearean play unfold in the form of a show and not just a copy but an actual mix up of multiple ones. Throw in some magic and the modern man and you've got something pretty nice. The music and the end all seemed satisfying and by far out of many series in the last year or two as well. The fact that I read the manga and I still did not get impatient with the series despite already knowing what is going to happen really surprises me.
