Anime Galore~
I decided to just group up and make small comments on a group of anime I just finished. Since I wont really say much about each and every one of them I'll just quickly give a few of my thoughts and then some.
Psycho Pass is the first on my list. I never give anything a perfect grade because there is never anything perfect out there. BUT this one is really a series that to me feels like it defines action at its core. This series grades highly for me at around an A mainly because in light of all the "moe" boom in recent years as well as all the current censorship going on, this series really goes out there with the gore and dark story that has been missing. Not to mention the fact that it doesn't come as a surprise and rather fits right into the series itself, this was one of the few where I just couldn't keep away from. I like the art and the plot which although at times is obvious, seems to stay interesting mainly through all the characters involved as they struggle with themselves as well as the sibyl system.
Then we have Kotoura-San I would have graded this show higher had it kept its tear jerking moments continuous, but the series itself cooled down considerably half way through. YES I baww'd like you don't even know. The feels man right at episode 1 really got me. Don't get me wrong though, it's not like the series is bad, it just didn't keep the flow I had wanted and made it seem so lackluster near the end. B- is what I would give it.
Next on the list is Tamako Market and I'd like to say despite its easygoing slice of life plot and random bird creature, it still came out as a solid series. The characters were interesting enough that I enjoyed watching it through the end. Of course not much goes on in the series and it is at its highest merely a slice of life with weird occurences. No harm done in watching or skipping although if you are a true fan of lol "moe" then it'd be a nice series. This one gets a B- as well.
GJ-Bu is the next series. It is similar to shows like Seitokai no Ichizon and Seitokai Yakuindomo except as a club. I don't think I have to say much if you've watched those series', but the show is very interesting and was one of my must watch for the season. The only disappointing thing is of course that lackluster of an ending and episode before it where my expectations were just filled with disappoint. Like Mondaiji it felt like the series cut stuff off near the end. Regardless it was still a good series and I'll give it a B+.
Girls Und Panzer the next on the list of shows ending is slightly saddening to me. It is a sense catered to simply cute characters in tank battles. Normally I'd praise these types of shows merely because lolis in tanks, but not today. The whole few months break didn't help it and of course all the random characters didn't help it. The tank battles seemed too straightforward and I think some more action or a lot more suspense could have helped the series. if only they were like the girls in Saki with dat mahjong hax and overly underdressed characters and moeblobs with a side of obvious shoujo ai. Series gets a C.
Finally the last one is Zetsuen no Tempest. This scores very high to me as well. An A is what I would give it but it would have been an A+ had it not been for the random dragging out in some scenes. I think though overall this show had one of the more interesting plots in the last year. The tie-in's with the different plays by English writers was very intriguing. The entire show had this whole mysterious vibe going around it and it felt as if I was watching some Shakespearean play unfold in the form of a show and not just a copy but an actual mix up of multiple ones. Throw in some magic and the modern man and you've got something pretty nice. The music and the end all seemed satisfying and by far out of many series in the last year or two as well. The fact that I read the manga and I still did not get impatient with the series despite already knowing what is going to happen really surprises me.

Tomb Raider FIN
So I finally finished the game at 100% I might add. So let us quickly grade it!
First off I have to say that the gameplay was pretty easy to get used too. The controls were pretty good. I didn't have to resort to trying to use a controller like for some games *cough* Dark Souls *cough*. The enemies were pretty challenging themselves. The AI was decent enough that I could not just leroy all of them and live. I had to take the environment into consideration as well as try to stealth a lot of them. The "mash" sequences were pretty entertaining as well as the random even scenes. Id have to say that the puzzles though were overly simple. The AI for enemies has some derp moments and it bugged me how much they knew where I was with a simple long range kill despite me still being well hidden. The game also could have used more battle scenes rather then just a majority of my time being used to try and complete all the hidden objectives and finding loot. In any case overall the gameplay was positive.
The music was kind of meh, but I still enjoyed it a bit. The ambience was there in a lot of places but in some parts such as during enemy attacks it would loop and annoy me. Think of that one bgm in the movie Jaws. It was like that but over and over. Regardless the music was still pretty good enough that it didn't make me question a lot of it and made it feel like it was a part of the whole scenery rather than distract me (aside from the battle bgm).
Now the graphics was stunning to say the least and I didn't even play on Ultimate. Though all I have to say about it is that what made me enjoy the game so much is the overall look of everything from the terrain to the overlooks and so on. It was amazing looking through the whole environment and I didn't get bored of exploring at all because everything looked so interesting.
Now the story seems like your typical adventure story. Adventurers come across ancient place. Bad stuff happen. Damsel in distress. Save her. Win. Escape. So nothing out of the ordinary there, but I did enjoy the whole concept of Himiko and then throwing in bits and pieces of information from survivors through the years via artifacts and journals. The characters as well fir your typical adventure archetypes. I don't want to explain them all, but it was somewhat obvious about what type of role each of the characters would play and even if you didn't, the way the scenes panned out you would probably guess their fate a scene or two later. But I'm not dissing them at all. I think this new Lara is very refreshing compared to the old Lara. She's not so Kaboom but more Load, Click, Pew Pew meaning to say shes not so aggressive and is a bit more on the OMG we could die or you could die and I have no choice.
Overall I'd give the game a 4/5 and I would definitely recommended buying it if you wanted it. The game itself would give you a good amount of time to play unless you are like me. I'd say if I wasn't absolutely lazy at times I could clear it in 2-3 days.

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo
~Needed more Dragon~
So this show finally came to an end. It threw out so many feels I don't know how to react. From love problems to growing pains to the strictness of reality as well as differences in talent and getting over obstacles, this show really hit a lot of things. This show to me gets like an A in terms of grades because even though it throws those usual typical absurd cliches in usual anime (the girls who at most don't mind you seeing them naked and not for some reason such as friendzone as well as the siscon), it doesn't make it the sole focus although it seems that way at first. It really stays on track towards Sorata finding a goal for himself, working hard, failing, taking out anger on the more talented individuals without meaning to, reconciling, trying again, repeat and finally figuring out in the end what he really wants to do. It is basically a whole learning process for him and growing up just like all the other characters in the series. Although the moe and the ecchi stuff still throw themselves in from time to time, it doesn't take away too much from the series but rather adds some break inbetween all the seriousness. It also put a bit of hilarity as to not make the series too hardcore drama. The random pace changes in the show really make it interesting and I hope there will be a second season eventually considering the show covers 6 volumes of the current 10.

I started writing a sort of story/novel thing, but conflicted on whether or not I should try turning it into some RPGMaker VX game. The story will focus on a girl thrown into some parallel universe through some wish she makes on the spot to some unknown voice she hears in her head that she first decides is just her brain messing with her. I'll try and get some sort of prologue out, but as I said I'm not even sure what I want to do. Not to mention I haven't drawn anything in forever xD.

Cuticle Tantei Inaba-san
Lol Dat Window~
Now this series has been one of the more enjoyable ones this season. There was some semblance of plot, but that was not what drew me to this series. In fact I don't know what made me enjoy this series. A lot of the comedy done was repetitive though it was still pretty funny at times. The interactions between each of the characters, especially between the Detective Agency and Don and his Family, were very amusing. My favorite would have to be Lorenzo's constant image and a sort of Husband/Wife like routine with him and the Don and Inaba's obsession with hair and his relationship with Ogi and his little brother. Yuuta and Noah are pretty hilarious as well due to their yandere-esque behavior. The randomness is pretty nice in a gag kind of way and I wouldn't mind re-watching this series if merely to just watch and past some time. It would have been entertaining to see the characters in some actual developing story since they were all so quirky. The show felt like it was throwing filler after filler, but clearly plot isn't what they were after although as I said there was some of it. I would give this series a B as it kept me entertained and it really was a break from the seriousness a lot of shows bring. I would have gave it a 4, but when it comes to comedy or gag if I don't really laugh it up I can't really say it was great. It was one of those shows where you wouldn't be missing out if you did or did not watch, but you might as well throw it inbetween stuff like Psycho-Pass or Shinseikai Yori just to change the flow a bit.

Side Note: Nearly done with Tomb Raider. Kind of sucks I took a random break to read some more light novels, but yeah around 80-90% done. I would have finished it yesterday but then my computer auto restarted in the middle of it. I should really try to avoid playing it continuously for like 3-4 hour straight. I gave up on trying to complete all the optional objectives as well seeing as how I've got Neptunia Victory coming next weekend and I STILL have to beat Mk2 just because.

So in Volume 11 of light novel SAO (Sword Art Online) in the first chapter of the volume, the valet's of Kirito and Eugeo are supposedly about to get raped. Now the act alone is not what is getting to me, but rather it is because its Teiza and Ronie (not so much Ronie but meh might as well). There was a good deal of build up between Teiza and Eugeo before the event so it is almost to the point of almost-NTR. I felt so much hate for the two people about to perform the act and the fact that the system is letting them do it? Really? WDF =|. And in case you didn't know, the author Reki actually had them raped in the original web novel before they could be saved and that is so much worse. One of the few instances of yay censorship. Man tho SAO wdf =(. Reki sure does know how to make a person rage. All in all glad I never read the original web novel and glad it ended up on a happy note.
/SPOILERS =D
Oh for those that don't know me which is a lot of you, I don't actually hate NTR or said Forced scenes. I don't condone it IRL cuz that is just messed up but it is some of my love/hate genres in hentai. What I hate is when its in manga, anime, games or novels I read mainly because you end up connecting with a lot of the characters you encounter and/or creating bonds with them. So yeah there you go. FK YOU REKI AND UR RAEG INDUCING SAO!!!

Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sō Desu yo?
The Show finally ended. The show itself was somewhat interesting. I wish there was a bit more fleshing out of characters but then again all they had was 10 episodes. It almost feels like half of Hidan no Aria because all they covered in that series was the "prologue" volumes. I can't really blame anime studios though considering the amount of content they need to try and fit in a 20-25 minute show. BUT really though? 10 episodes? Come on Diomedea! All in all I would have liked to see more because the show feels incomplete. It was your typical gag/slice of life/I don't really know type of series mixed in with SOME serious business. Honestly it just felt like they threw in some things to fill the episode. From what I've heard and read from the novels there was a lot of things that were left out as well as unnecessarily added in such as the fight with Perseus guild and the addition of the little game Kuro Usagi had with the three in the very beginning. Now it is not all bad. The fight scenes with decent although more Izayoi hax was needed. They didn't even explain why he is so close to OP. The relationships between some of the characters were interesting and hilarious. Shiroyasha and Izayoi's camaraderie regarding Kuro Usagi as well as all the teasing done towards Kuro Usagi from most of the main characters was lol. Now I doubt a 2nd season will appear, but at least I hope translations for the novel start sometime soon =|. MUST READ!!!!! 0_0!!!!
Oh! I recently took a look at a VRMMO themed light novel and no it's not Sword Art Online. Not 1/2 Prince either though if you assumed it was then you were close. It is called Moonlight Sculptor if I'm correct. While browsing baka-tsuki as well as other places I came across the novel and it was downright awesome! Had an extremely hardworking protagonist who basically defines the term grinding in an MMO. I believe anyone who enjoyed SAO should check it out as the lead seems to have a similar approach to gaming as Kirito although his goals are somewhat suspect (lol greed), but in a good way. Guy struggles to survive and uses the VRMMO as a way of doing that to support his family and himself. There are funny moments in the series and it really goes in depth to all the guys crafting, stats, skills and quest progression. It also doesn't spare any reader from explanation towards any aspect of the game itself. I wouldn't mind playing the game described for days, but it did mention the guy is paying a monthly fee of 300 USD. Ouch! But at least it is diablo-esque in that you can sell items for money and there are plenty of uniques and opportunities for uniques even in crafting.

Light Novels! Why You Make Me Think!
Yoshino~!!! Can't wait for Date A Live -3-
On a related note, I have been reading Campione lately and am currently on volume 12 of the light lovel. Feeling like I happened to read a reboot I was a bit distraught. I supposed you should go read it yourselves so I wont spoil anything but DAMN YOU SATURNUS!!!!!!!
The reason for my distraught though was not the circumstances in the current volume, but rather the issue of death in the series. Of course what I'm talking about is Godou's relationship with all his "lovers". The fact that he is a Campione means he will most likely live far longer then most humans for example Marquis Voban who seems to have been alive for quite a long time, but still aged and Luo Hao who has been alive for 200 years but still seems to be in her "teens" in physical aspects. It really got me thinking too deeply though about the eventuality of death for the rest of his companions. The most likely die before he does casting aside magic that might prevent them from doing so, but this fact somewhat makes it depressing. In one of the omake chapters Godou sees the possible future and witnesses someone whose back seem lonesome and I believe he might be seeing his own future way down the road. How will he cope? What had become of those he loved? These thoughts all boggled me and questioned if longevity or immortality was really one of those things worth seeking. Dat Lonely Road~
Now I did not stop there and it further put me to thinking about other couples in similar situations in some of the recent novels I am following. In Date A Live Shidou apparently ends up with a harem of spirits who will evenetually have to see him "go away" in a sense after his life as a human ends. In The Circumstances Leading to Waltraute's Marriage, the valkyrie Waltraut ends up getting married to a very young boy and so sometime near the middle of end of the volume it raises the question of whether to use the Apples of Immortality. At the end of the volume (forgive my spoilers but highlight the lines if you wish to read),
-Waltraut tells the parents of the boy that she will stay with him until the day he dies-
Though it ended there and somewhat on a joking note, it still made me think about what her answer would be or rather as she said, "Whatever the boy decides, the answer will only be up to him whether or not he should eat the apple."
It somewhat aches inside whenever these topics pop up because you would like to see "forever" happen, but unfortunately that is just our nature as humans to resist change and the like especially when it concerns characters of literature or media we have come to know and technically grow with. So I will end it there. Although I didn't really talk about much all in all, it was still a topic that I continue to think about and have so many feels over. Oh the amount of feels I have inside regarding this really makes my soul hurt. Y u do dis brain.

In other news I really want Rune Factor 4 -_-. Forget the fact that I do not have a 3DS yet, how unlikely it will be for the NA release to have Japanese dubbing. Ayana Taketatsu and Tomokazu Sugita ;o;... Bachelorette and Bachelor possibilities. Goddamnit! Not to mention you have a pretty good voice lineup for the characters as well. I pray if the game does come out with dual dubs, I will be all up on that!
Plus where are you PSO2 English release! Ragnarok Online 2 NA release! Starbound! Stardew Valley! Disgaea D2! Guided Fate Paradox! Blade & Soul! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFuuuuuuuuuu

Tomb Raider... oh that scare~
First time was like HOLY SHI- then after the 20th time I just got mad.
Still playing Tomb Raider, but still only 50% through. Some of the "battle" music is starting to get annoying but this doesn't really diminish anything from the game. Aside from the now dynamite throwers and those damn river poles the game has been progressing smoothly. Still find Sam annoying and still find trying to get all the "achievements" annoying. At least I've finally met up with cool Irish bro Grim.
I assumed with the wolf den there would be more random jump scares. Then again this isn't really the right game for those. BUT!!!!! I did get a different type of scare. Apparently something when wrong with my display drivers and temporarily screwed things up to the point where computer crashed. I assume my gfx card overheated. (If you are curious I'm using an HD 6770.) Now that's not exactly the right type of card to try and push it close to High or Ultimate settings so I guess that was my fault. I'm taking a break now from the game after restarting my pc to let it cool down a bit. I hope there wasn't any permanent damage. I don't really feel like buying a new gfx card let alone a new MOBO if that fk'd up as well.
Anyways... I wonder when Starbound or Stardew Valley will finally be out. Getting too hyped up. BETA WHAR!?

That Tomb Raider
So MUDDY!
So as you may have guessed, I have been playing the new Tomb Raider. So far this Lara has been pretty different from previous series. I'm only halfway through, but the game has been impressive. The graphics quality is pretty clean and I haven't even been playing on ultimate settings. I like how the cutscenes just meld into the actual gameplay. At times I'm not even sure what is a scene and what's not because you will never know when you will have to mass some buttons to escape stuff. The game plays a lot like a mix of Uncharted and Dead Space with some Far Cry 3 mixed in the middle. The story so far is average I would say, but I can't really compare until I make it to the end. The voice acting is well done aside from lolSam. I just seem to find her annoying like i don't even know. At least Lara's random grunting and moaning and screaming helps me to forgot a lot. The AI itself isn't too stupid so I can't really just go in guns or arrows blazing. The hardest thing I found so far about the game is the mashing, but only because I was stupid and got lazy with it. Poor me getting crushed by rocks repeatedly or wolf bite in the throat x.x. All in all the game is amazing and I'll do a proper review once I finish.
Oh that's right~!
Kind of mad here @ Studio Diomedea because Mondaiji is going to only be 10 episodes u.u
With them already cutting out random important scenes in the series itself, it feels kind of pointless to vut the series short. They've already butchered Campione but that at least ran the full(?) 12-13 episode run despite there being a load of Light Novel content they can do. At least next seasons shows are upon us. Let's hope Date A Live and HenNeko are decent although they're being done by AIC Plus and JC Staff who I have no issues with whatsoever. Here's to a second season for Mondaiji and hopefully some Light Novel translations soon. Go Go Baka-Tsuki! =p
First! and HELLO!
Alright let me first say this blog will mainly just be about me and my rantings, reviews, and whatever I come across in my day to day struggles with boredom.
Why a blog? I don't know so don't ask me why. But on a serious note this will really just be (like I said above) about me giving my thoughts and feelings on items ranging from anime, games, eroge, movies, and etc. I am not a professional writer nor am I majoring in anything "writing" ( Major: Nursing < lol ). So forgive me if I make any mistakes and errors. I might occasionally put up stuff I have done myself such as original stories and drawings but that will be rare and not too amazing anyway =p. So to anyone that stumbles in here or just merely bored and looking for something to make fun of...
Welcome~
